LIVE TO RUN AGAIN

Grassroots Movement to Nationwide Campaign

In 2001, Live to Run Again (LTRA) Campaign was launched by Tail Blazers Agility Club (TBAC) in Pennsylvania in response to the tragic loss of their training director, Jane Accampo Callaghy, to a drowsy driving accident. This grassroots movement, directed at the dog agility community, aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of driving while drowsy.

While initially operating as a committee of TBAC, Live to Run Again was incorporated in 2002 as a nonprofit organization in Pennsylvania. This volunteer movement has evolved into a nationwide campaign dedicated to saving lives by educating agility and other dog competition enthusiasts on the importance of driving alert.

In 2004 LTRA became certified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity, making donations tax deductible.

  WHAT WE DO

  1. We provide practical anti-drowsy driving information to educate people on how to avoid becoming a fall-asleep crash victim.

  2. We distribute materials that places our “Don’t Drive Drowsy... Live to Run Again” message on everyone’s radar.

  3. We promote programs like Audio Book and Libraries Exchange (ABLE) to help people stay awake on the road.

  4. We participate in educational efforts about drowsy driving for the public through newspaper and magazine articles, televised interviews and participation in film production.
